Our PSP Process
The aim of the PSP service is to provide you with a true working prototype of your PCB. We don’t charge extra for anything that you would normally get on a production board. This way you can check to see that as well as the circuitry being correct the Solder Resist patterns and the Component Ident also meet your requirements. We can offer either Lead free Hot Air Level or Nickel Gold surface finish. We appreciate that you just want to build your board to see if it works. We therefore bare board test all boards so that in the event that you do have to “Debug” at least you have the assurance that the bare board is correct.
Design Rule Checking
Unlike many other online prototype services your PCB data will go through a full design rule check using the latest front end software. If we spot any potential problems with your design we will contact you by email.
Solder Resist
The PSP service offers a semi matt green Solder Resist. This is a photoimageable resist. You can have either 0,1 or 2 sides with both sides being different at no extra cost.
Component Ident
Component Ident is white and can be applied on either 0,1 or 2 sides.
Surface Finish
A choice of either Lead Free Hot Air Level or Electroless Nickel Gold is available for the Surface Finish. Unlike other online services there is no extra charge for either.
Bare Board Test
All PSP prototypes are Bare Board Tested to the original manufacturing data using flying probe test machines, giving you the peace of mind that the PCB is fault free.
